This project aims to document urban environmental injustices across the United States.
As essential infrastructure decays around us, aspects of the built environment that have been trustworthy
for decades, are becoming sources of contamination, even as existing sources of contamination are getting
worse.
Each point on this map represents a place where real people are confronting environmental toxins in their
everyday lives. Clicking on one of the locations will take you to a digital photovoice exhibit,
which uses photos and narratives to document the challenges faced by those who live there.
